We understand that employment law can be a headache for businesses and that it can be difficult to keep up with developments in the law. That’s why we have developed our Absolute HR scheme. It gives you immediate access to advice from experienced solicitors in our Employment team for an affordable fixed fee.

Unlimited advice

As a member you will receive unlimited advice on all day-to-day employment law and related HR issues such as disciplinary and grievance handling, sickness absence and poor performance. This is provided through a helpline operated by qualified solicitors who provide a same day response to all queries.

Drafting letters and documents

In addition to providing advice on the helpline we will also draft letters and relevant documents on your behalf so you don’t have to.

Review of contracts and staff handbook

We will review your existing contracts and policies and either update them or provide you with new contracts and staff handbook. We help you keep these up to date to ensure compliance with all changes to the law and carry out annual reviews of all of your documentation.

Employment law updates

We produce regular newsletters providing updates on changes in the law. We also run complimentary bi-annual employment law seminars for our members.

Legal advice privilege

Any advice you receive from us will benefit from legal advice privilege which means it won’t be disclosed in the event of any Tribunal proceedings. This means you can have complete piece of mind about any discussions we have.

Insurance cover

You will also receive comprehensive insurance cover against awards of damages and legal fees in the Employment Tribunal. Unlike similar schemes which will not consider claims unless there is a 51% chance of a successful defence, this condition does not apply to our Absolute HR scheme. This means we are free to provide genuinely commercial advice with your best interests in mind. In addition to this, provided you follow our advice, no excess will apply.

HR support

We understand dealing with HR issues can be time consuming and complicated. For many businesses with limited resources it can be difficult to prioritise people management issues. In view of this we are able to offer the services of a dedicated HR Consultant who can work with you to resolve any HR issues you may have including for example dealing with investigations, disciplinary or appeal meetings and appraisals.

BUPA Occupational health services

If you are dealing with an employee who is either off sick or unable to perform some of their role as a result of a health condition, obtaining an occupational health report is crucial in determining how best to deal with the situation. We work with BUPA to arrange occupational health assessments for employees. We set up any appointments and provide all necessary documentation to be given to employees in advance of any assessment. We will of course also advise you on the appropriate steps to take upon receipt of any report.

Health and safety support

We offer health and safety support to help you ensure compliance with health and safety legislation. For a fixed fee, we provide access to an online portal which features health and safety instruction and guidance, business continuity advice and assistance and a 24 hour response to online questions. You will also receive unlimited access to a health and safety advice line.

In addition to the above we can also provide a bespoke package that is tailored to your specific needs. In addition to the services outlined above, you will also receive:

  • Dedicated health and safety consultants with expertise in your industry;
  • Bespoke health and safety documentation and procedures, comprehensive health and safety manual and bespoke risk assessments and method statements; and
  • Annual health and safety compliance audit and inspection.

Client training

Our experienced trainers deliver training courses on a wide range of employment law issues including discipline and grievance handling, equal opportunities and absence management. We also offer bespoke training workshops which can be delivered either at our office or at our client’s premises. These sessions are tailored to meet the specific needs of our clients and can be delivered as a half day or full day course.
