Building and Contents Insurance can often be understated should the worst happen…

Placing personal household, motor and travel insurance is not always straightforward and getting it wrong is potentially costly and inconvenient. When it comes to what matters, the expert advice and guidance of an independent insurance broker is invaluable.

About Lucas Fettes & Partners

Lucas Fettes & Partners is an independently owned Lloyd’s accredited insurance brokerage, financial services and employee benefit advisory practice.

As a broker at Lloyd’s, Lucas Fettes & Partners have access to a large insurance market and are able to place even complex risks.

What are we offering?

We have had a relationship with Glaisyers Solicitors for many years, indeed, we broker an insurance policy for clients who sign up to their Absolute HR employer protection scheme. Glaisyers provide the legal advice and Lucas Fettes provide the insurance cover should a claim go to tribunal and be upheld, although few get that far!

As part of our continued relationship we would like to build on this by offering Glaisyers clients a special offer for all their staff on their home building and contents insurance.

What you should do

1. Ring 0161 972 2417 or email [email protected] and Quote: Glaisyers Offer
2. Notify us of your next renewal date
3. Provide details of your existing building insurance and contents insurance
4. Free consultation with our advisers to agree your needs
5. Receive a quote within 24 hours

We are also able to undertake a full review of your current commercial insurance portfolio that will report on the adequacy of existing covers, possible gaps in cover, suggesting additional covers that need to be considered and, where appropriate, dispose of unnecessary coverage.

A recent Case Study

A client arranged his contents insurance through Lucas Fettes & Partners, but arranged his buildings insurance through his bank. A pipe burst whilst he was away on holiday, causing extensive damage to the point that reinstatement works meant the house had to be evacuated. Unbeknown to the client, his buildings insurance only provided cover for alternative accommodation up to £16,000.

Lucas Fettes & Partners intervened and, using our long standing relationship with underwriters, arranged for the contents insurer to pick up the balance of the alternative accommodation costs, which amounted to £80,000 over a two
year period, even though there was minimal damage to the contents. This saved the client a total of £64,000.

Lucas Fettes & Partners are able to arrange policies which automatically provide up to 20% of the building sum insured for alternative accommodation claims.

In Summary

Lucas Fettes & Partners will offer a unique service providing you with a dedicated handler who will understand your needs and requirements, offer additional help or advice on matters such as security and potential pitfalls in cover. We have friendly staff on hand to showcase what we can do and provide that comparison with your existing provider, without obligation.
