We aim to charge fair and reasonable fees for the work we do for our clients. There are a number of factors that can influence the amount of these fees.
Our fees are dependent on each matter individually. Some are based on the time we spend. Others are an all-inclusive sum. These will be agreed with you before work is started on the matter. Please remember that we may need to adjust the fees to reflect the matter as it progresses if unexpected challenges arise that affect the complexity and risks of the matter. You may prefer to agree with us a prior limit on our charges and expenses. Any limit may, however, affect how much work we can do within your instructions.
We may also incur the fees of third parties on your behalf (for example, barristers) and we will obtain your agreement before committing you to these. We may also charge you separately for expenses such as photocopying. We charge an administration fee for each transfer of funds made by us through our bank, the amount varying depending on the payment method. A CHAPS transfer costs £35 plus VAT. Any charges applied by your own or another transferee bank will also be payable by you or such transferee. VAT is also applied to the relevant charges.
