M&A Trends

Deal intentions remain robust as companies continue to search for growth opportunities

While deal intentions have tapered slightly from the heady figures of 2015, they have largely held up well above the long-term Barometer average. Once again, just half of all respondents plan to pursue an acquisition in the next 12 months, and executives see little sign of a major M&A downturn.

This report is a great ‘finger-on-the-pulse’ for the M&A activity in the market. It looks at global capital confidence in the M&A sphere and the trend towards bigger deal types that are being brokered with valuations moving to a stable footing. However, this survey was prior to the Brexit fall out but the results remain very interesting and an informative read for anyone working in this industry, or thinking of acquiring or selling.
